Conflicts of interest
Quebec trade rule for lawyers and notaries, applicable throughout the Gaspésie–Îles-de-la-Madeleine region.
The rule
the check remains with your team: Lawyers avoid any situation of conflict of interest, assessed with regard to all of the firm's clients (art. 71 and 72); notaries do too (art. 30). Max collects the names of the parties and the area of law before any other question, and confirms the consultation only after the check has been done by your team, if that is your rule.
