Custom orders, deposits and online sales
Quebec trade rule for boutiques and retail shops, applicable throughout Chaudière-Appalaches.
The rule
Before payment, state in writing the total price, the delivery date and the conditions for deposit, cancellation and refund. Quebec's Consumer Protection Act (Loi sur la protection du consommateur) also governs contracts concluded at a distance, including online sales. Zoé sends the quote you have prepared and collects the customer's agreement; she sets no price or condition herself. Have your conditions validated by your advisor.
