Medical-aesthetic care
Quebec trade rule for beauty salons and aesthetics.
The rule
assessment before treatment: The Collège des médecins (Quebec's College of Physicians) and the OIIQ (Ordre des infirmières et infirmiers du Québec, Quebec's order of nurses) reminded the public (May 30, 2024) that anyone who wants medical-aesthetic care must first have an individual assessment so that a diagnosis can be made and a treatment plan established. If physicians, nurses or other professionals practise on their own account in your clinic, it may also be a private professional practice within the meaning of the Act respecting health and social services information (Loi sur les renseignements de santé et de services sociaux) (Schedule II): have your case validated by your professional order or your advisor.
